Raising Daphnia

This video shows how we raise daphnia in our greenhouse. The daphnia are raised in fiberglass coated, concrete vats. We feed the daphnia yeast and green water.

This video shows how we sort the daphnia by size by sifting it through several different strainers. I then feed the small daphnia to some young discus fish fry.
